hey, have a 1998 ZL440 and the engine just blew up. 0 compression in one cly, so i took it apart and piston was fried and so is the crank bearing. my question is can i split the crank myself to replace the bearing or should i take it to a shop. is this a hard job and is there any tricks to getting it apart without damaging it? also is there a site where i could get the torque settings? i also read on other posts about using sealer on crank, is this right? thanks in advance for any answers.
