Hey i ride a 1999 polaris xc 500. Its completely stock and ive done nothing to it. Can anybody recommend any parts/upgrades for my sled to increase my overall top speed/acceleration and performance?? Thanks

go 1 or even 2 teeth smaller on top. it will give u better drag racing results but loose a couple mph on top end. 1 tooth imo ur topend looses only 3-4mph 2 teeth of course more

i totally agree. [highlight=yellow]A can [/highlight=yellow]would give u better sound a little bit more hp and weight loss.
If you have put the VES top end on, you have to use the VES pistons, cylinders, and exhaust. Not worth it in my opinion.

They don't make a can for a 1999 XC500.





Get some V-Force reeds. Put fox shocks on it.
But as stated already, studs, clutching, and gearing will give you most bang for your buck. I would clutch mine, but it's useless without studs, and I don't want to stud my nice track.

you can also go buy a 99xc700 and swap your 500 hood to it. lol
