i have a 1999 zr 600 and i was wondering if anyone else out here had any tips on what to use for clutching to make it turn on for trail riding mostly but would still work ok for a drag.

i got that set up but don't like it i got orange/white primary -and the helix i tryed was 57/50 with red/white secondary it pull for 450 feet in 660 and it just lad down it did not what to pull any more so i tryed a lime color springs the rating is 165-275 then i tryed the purple secondary springs it an slp springs you can get from Hi-performance Engineering the helix i tryed was 60/48 and that is what i got in my 99 zr 600 or try the helix 53/55 well work for 1000 feet radar runs amd also try 49/50 noch weight are a 50 noch weight i tryed both of them i think it made a differents

kind of hard to understand your post.
if your sled wouldn't pull over 450 ft something was wrong with your cluthes or rpms were off.

set up i gave will pull harder than stock up to about 90 with much better backshift. if you're looking for topend mph try 58-52 helix with 49.5g wts. this is an easy setup with all cat parts.
if you want to rip out of the hole and for ditchbanging you can go with a d&d type set up heavier polaris 10 wts (52-54g) d&d teal primary 185-295, 60-48 helix and D&D purple sec spring. d&d is an animal down low but sacrifices topend.

the set up you had did not work good for my sled i already try that set up with orange/white 57/50 helix 49/50 or 50 weight and it didn't work for what i do the set up i try was a lime color spring 165/275 then i try purple secondary spring the rate is 105 then i use a 60/48 helix or a 53/55 for radar runs then try 50noch weighs i race 600 stock 600 inprove 700stock i finish in the top three try it you well like it my sled was bone stock they were calling me a cheater just now how to set up a cat

you know how to set up a cat.. well that's interesting! maybe you should spend more time learning how to spell properly.

hose ask you for your two sents i did not? bring your sled to minto North Dakota next month and we well see who the best. they are having races January12,13 i took 2nd in the world finals last year with my 99 zr600 ther was 28 sled in 600 class and inproved class
