I ride a as you might have guess the Big A/C. I am a big guy 6-5 260 and the big triple allows me to keep up with the smaller guys on the big twins.
And I like that wide ski stance up front. I have good control when coming down from the top of the mountain.
Hey I really enjoy this board with no bashing going on.
I think that riding is what its all about .
So long as you happy the he!! with what anyone esle thinks.
When I'm sitting on top of a mountain looking over a killer view I'm not thinking about what brand got me there.

exactly 2000tcmc, that is the point, i hate all the bashing, i may poke fun, but ive got alot of ridin buddies that are loyal to A/C, so i tease them just as bad, but never beat someones ride! as long as they are there with you, who cares how they got there, it could be an old moto-ski or sno-jet for all i care!!

I owned a ski-doo, still do, I well used to ride a doo. Then I moved to Cat what a power house, loved the power. As I get older Polaris has the suspension I desire and still plenty of nads to move it.
I think all sleds have thier good points and alote depends on how you want to ride. And we all want to RIDE.
In our group we all tease about who is better and what brand is faster. This is where the saying comes from "Meaningless Ride" forget the bashing of pidly stuff we all just want to "RIDE"

Bman,
Came stock with the 136x2" Camoplast,
It is set up using the short track geomentry 30+" rear bumper to ground clearance. Tapererd tunnel also came stock just like the other M/C It's fun to ride. Allows me to keep up with those light weight guys on the 700 twins. The new 800's with the 151's are a major challenge.

XLTMan, I will try and get a picture scanned and provide a link next week.

Nice! My g/f rides a 92 550 EXT M/C. I put a 1.5" track on that. It goes but the XLT's kick a$$ on the top end. I'm pretty sure my XLT wouldn't stay with you. Top end is 90mph on the flats and it gets kind of boggy in the soft stuff. Mostly bad rider technique on my part though, I have to admit.

XLTMAN,
I have made runs where I didn't even put my skis back down until I was going 90.
Fastest run (given on the speedo) on the lake was 115 and thats geared for the mountains.
Even if I take away 10 mph for the speedo I think the big triple will out run the little one. Not giving you to hard of time just have to justify my 12K investment.
(Ok it has a couple of aftermarket mods too.)

Well i think the xlt should do better than 90...i had my triumph up to 90 mph got scared and let off. I still had about 1/5 (yes i do mean 1/5) throttle left. I thought i would see how fast she would go but, well that was fast enough for me on a lake. Besides i didnt have anyone with me so what fun would it have been? Dont underestimate the XLT's we can run with the best of them.

Yeah, I hit 98 mph on Lake of the Woods with my XLT (or at least it said that on the speedo.) trying to keep up to an XC 600. I let off becuase I got scared. I couldn't keep up to the XC though. Just think what it would be like to fall off and hit the ice at that speed. OUCH!!

I'll admit, the short tracks are geared for higher speep. With the short gears I'm running my time to speed is pretty short.
Even if the other guy can go 5-10 mph faster he'll still have to catch up to pass.
Don't get me wrong there are a lot of sleds designed and set up for lake racing that make me look really bad.
But then I make them look pretty sorry in 4' of fresh powder on a 50 degree slope.
