I have a 2000 500xc and I just had it rebuilt (new crank shaft) and now when I try to ride it there is a terrible bog in the low end rpm range and will only pull up to about 7000 rpm's. I took the air box off and the foam in there was completley soaked with gas and oil, I started it with the air box removed and when I burp the throttle gas mist shoots out from both carbs. Any ideas?

Might be a timing issue? Since the spark plugs aren't firing at the proper time, you are losing power. And I think you might be losing power because not all the gas is being burned, and coming back out through the carbs??

Did you reinstall the flywheel yourself?
