Hello, I have a 2000 ZL 440. After riding at higher RPMs trailriding and I bring the sled to a stop the idle "hangs" and I have to flick the choke to get the idle to lower. Can anyone tell me why this is occuring and what part do I have to clean or replace.

90% of problems running correctly is Carb problems. Go through your Carb bank and make sure you don't have something blocking your Pilot jets. If one is partially blocked one cylinder would run lean and cause it to rev up then other cylinder to do the same

Also check your throttle cable at the section where it breaks into three, one to each carb and one to the throttle, the outer plastic of the cable is supposed to sit in a little knuckle, mine came out and it will rev when stopped, easy fix
