im having trouble finding info on the ZR 700. i have read a couple things on the airbox mod, but they didnt explain what is actually done. also, whats a good clutch setup to run? im looking for good launch out of corners. how about jetting to compliment both mods? Im just looking to wake up my 700 a little, no crazy porting or shaving the heads.

Clutching would be good. Goodwin performance might have a kit. Those zr 700's are pretty rare so your gonna have trouble finding mods for it.

D&D racing is one of the few companies that still makes stuff for the ZR 700

Its pretty simple design and makes it so you don't have to make any modifications to your airbox.

I have this can on my powder special 700 sounds awesome. Its kind of quiet from idle to half throttle but after that you can really hear it.

Arctic Cat had a pain in the *** design on the location of the reeds. You have to take off the cylinders to replace them on the 700's..

i was thinking of using the Tcat 900 motor in my ZR, but i just cant bring myself to cannibalize an original '93 Tcat for that. and if i had the $$$ i'd be going with an APV ZRT 600 motor.

anyone know if the gears out of a '94 ZR 700 are lower and will fit in an '00 chaincase?

I dont have stock gears in my sled, I think from stock its 1 down on the upper and 2 up on the lower but I really don't remember. Do you have the body style like my 99?

yeah, its the ZR3 body style.

when i get a chance im gonna open up the chaincase on my '00 and compare the gearing with the '94. if the gears on the '94 are lower im probably gonna put them in, but will i need to change anything in the clutching if i do that?

thanks for that link. apparently, the '94 and '00 have the same gears....however, i do also have the gears and chain out of a '95 ZR 580 which are a 20T on top and a 39T on bottom. compared to the 700's 23T on top and 40T on bottom. so, if i use the 580 gears, it would be the same as going down 2 on top. now my next question, if i go down 2 teeth on top, would i need to change anything in the clutches or leave it stock?
