I have a 2002 xcsp 600 stock gearing is 23t on top gear and bottom is 39t, \I bought a used reverse kit, the gears are different the top gear is 25t and the bottom is 40t, if I use these gears how differently will the sled respond, top speed higher or lower??, acceleration better or worse??, any help would be appreciated, or should I just buy the correct 39t lower reverse gear, thanks

the 25-40 would theoretically have a higher top speed and slower acceleration. the gearing ratio with 25 on top and 40 on the bottom is 1.6:1 the 23 top 39 bottom is 1.69:1 which means with the stock gearing the top gear is spinning a little faster in relation to the bottom gear. you could put it together, run it like that and see if you like it. no harm in trying it out before you spend money on more gears.
