I just picked up a nice condition 2002 Polaris 500 XC SP whish has a motor thats burned down.
I'd like to know what I have for options for drop-in running motors rather than rebuild? Would like to move upt to a 600 or 700. What fits? what doesn't? I have all the remaining parts from the 500. Does the 500 exhaust work with the 600? or 700 if I go to a bigger engine? What do I need to be aware of? Thanks.

as goes the motor swap, anything is posible the important part is spending the time and doing it right. Those chassis came with 500, 550, 600, 700, and 800 motors. I do not believe any of them are just a drop in and go.
