Ummm, no contest man! 2004 800, it's newer and faster!

But the only 800 pro-x in 2004 was the orange Pro-XR 800- Very Rare sled! Or is the "04 Pro-x 800" is an '04 Pro-XR 440 with an 800 motor in it? If thats the case, I would be considerably leary of it. I don't trust other people doing non-bolt-in motor swaps, that's something that should be perfect, in my eyes.

I'd say thats a good price if the miles are correct and the sled is in good shape.

But I am confused on what the sled actually is. 2004 was the last year of the Pro-X. The only 2004 800 Pro-X was the XR 800. Is it a 2003 Pro-X 800? (2003 was the only year Polaris made a factory Pro-X 800, aside from the XR)

^^^^^Not true in 2004 there was the Pro-X 800, Pro-X2 800 and the Pro-XR 800.

No major differences, the seats, shocks, and trim packages were about it.

2003 had no perc, but otherwise the same sled as the 2004.

I had an 03' 800. Great sled imo. Never had a problem with it. I've never ridden an 04' but I'd buy whichever one is in the best shape.

if you're willing to spend 3250 I'd do some more shopping if I were you . If you keep yer eyes open you can probably find a decent rider forward sled in that ballpark.

My mistake! I had the 2004 Pro-X's pictured perfectly in my head, but for some reason I thought they were 2003s. Forgot the '03s were red/silver/blue and the '04s were grey/silver/red. Sorry about the brain fart guys!

The '04s have sweet graphics as well. plus Perc reverse. To me, it's a no brainer unless the 800 is beat to sh**

Didn't XR's come in orange along with an orange shorty seat,I have seen the gray 04's X2's they all look good to me but I like the orange ones the most. The only 03's that I have seen were red and had Ryde FX shocks, I may be wrong but I think the 04 skids came with walker evans shocks can somebody verify this.

the only other sled i would buy is a iq 600rr but they are expensive
sure..600rr is a bad a$$ sled. I'd be looking for a 600 fusion though. You can find one in your price range if you look hard enough. I've literally owned all the sleds listed, 03' pro-x, 600rr, and a fusion. The pro-x feels like a couch compared to ANY rider forward sled but hey, it's your money.

Correct, '03s were red had Ryde FX. XR's are orange and are sweet, and the 800 XRs are very rare, I think it was a 500 unit build. I haven't seen one for less than $4000. '04 X2s had W/E shocks all around, shorty seats, short windshields and handguards. regular '04 Pro-Xs had Ryde FXs.

I do believe 04 is when polaris started adding DET to their sleds aswell. This would be another reason for going with the 04 since the DET or Detonation Elimination Technology will add to the longivity of the engine.

I'd shop somewhere's else for 3200. I bought my 2004 prox 600 with 1900 miles 2 yrs ago for 2400. You can buy a nice fusion for 3200.
