Just heard the prediction this morning on my into work. There sayin not much snow and unseasonable temperatures. They also stated that this forecast is usually 68% correct. Anyone hear anything conflicting this? Lets hope there wrong.

Well according to other people here the almanac said different. It said we are going to have one of those regular winters, with some decent snow. That's what some other people have been saying in other topics.

Heres what it say for the northern great plains

Expect substantial variations this winter. Temperatures will be cold in the east, especially in December and January, with below-normal snowfall in Wisconsin and above-normal snowfall in the Upper Peninsula. In Minnesota and the eastern Dakotas, temperatures will be a bit below normal, with near-normal snowfall. In the western part of the region, expect temperatures to be near normal through much of the winter, with a very mild March, but expect more snow than average. The coldest temperatures will occur just after Thanksgiving and between Christmas and New Year.

April will be colder than normal in the west but milder than normal in the east, followed by near-normal temperatures in May. Watch for heavy snow in mid-April.

The summer will be hot. It will be relatively dry in the west, with above-normal rain in the east.

September will be colder than normal in the west, with near-normal temperatures in the east. October will be cold, with heavy snow possible to close the month.

Yeah what I read pretty much said, normal winter(or better) for most of the country, the only exception was the south(who cares anyway!) was said to be warmer....also the Farmers Almanac is correct 80% of the time, that is in the last 168 years - or something like that!
