Well I am pretty much done with my Edge. Just waiting on one more piece to complete this puzzle.

-went through the entire suspension and added the 4th wheel along with red hyfax
-changed chaincase oil and aligned the gears
-adjusted the skis 1/8" toe out
-cleaned clutches
-cleaned out gas tank
-added 2" riser
-chrome windshield
-ceramic coated exhaust
-greased everything TWICE..[thumb]
-CLEANED/Polished everything I could
-removed/trimmed hood decals

When I got the sled the exhaust valves and carbs were just cleaned/adjusted along with new Boysen reeds
installed.

I am unsure if I will keep the handgaurds because I cant adjust the throttle block to where it is comfortable...plus I cant use the cover when they are installed...[8D]

Thanks for all help.

Now I have to wait for snow....so I can ride it...lol

Thanks!

The sled came with the red flap...also came with the red handle bar pad. I have the black pad as well, but I think the red looks good.

Yes all the tips and comments were useful! I wouldnt have thought to check a few of the items on a newer sled.

am i halucinating? in the first pic of the motor, the first letter looks like a "5". even though the 500v.e.s's had a black head cover? weird. must be the light blocking out the rest of the silver letter.

Nice sled btw!

^^Good eye, but if you click on the original image you can see a smudge of grease or something of some sort. Made me look twice!

Nice ride Cobra.... I picked up an 03 at the end of this past season and love it.... I too had problems with the powermad hand gaurds.... I pulled them off... With the heated grips and thumb warmer there was no need for them...I put them on because of the riser extension I put on, but didnt need them....

it will be a pain but all you need to do is loosen the hand guards and ajust them so the mounts are pointing at the seat so you can just turn them and then put the cover on.

Is that the stock seat? that looks like its off something way newer like an IQ or something. Or did the xcsp's come that way? Either way looks really good I have always liked XC's and the color combinations. I have some friends that matched their stud backs to the color of the sled, just a thought might look pretty cool. COOL SLED
