After screaming across the lake (not maxed out) at about 80-90mph on my 2006 Polaris Fusion 900 the exhaust gets so hot I cannot put my foot in the right side opening. the exhaust is so hot the belly pan started to melt. Engine temp never got over 150. What could cause this and could it damage the motor?[confused]

Get your pipe and can ceramic coated, and they will not transfer the heat to the engine compartment like they do now.

^^^^^^ I agree and SLP makes a hot air elimintation kit for them as well, its vents in the belly pan that allow wind to cool the exhaust and clutches. An aftermarket can will bring down the temperatures if it is an option in your area with out becoming a noise issue.
