Another day another ride... Please don't post a reply till I am done writing it here within the hour or so)
Local map to use to reference report if you want http://www.dcdrifters.net/files/DCDrifters2009map.jpg
Headed out yesterday 3-5-10 with some guys from our local snowmobile forum. EMTP579(dan)-Medic944-Blablond-Lawlerclan-Malorie-ff1emtd-and myself.
Dan and ff1emtd(mike) meet up at my house here in Berkshire. In this report I will only be posting pictures that are not the same pictures I have posted in my past reports. Please also be aware that I took some of these pictures from my snowmobile while driving it. C2 leaving berkshire was decent. Snow wasn't a real issue. Fun tight twisty stuff.
We headed towards slaterville on C2 and it was FAST by mckormic and such.. Miles of perfect flat wide snow highway. No pictures, was too busy driving and that area was in my last report. We met up with the rest of the group and we then headed towards Candor on C2. I love this stretch. Pictures of Shindagen Hollow tight twisty trails are in my last report. About 6 miles of the good stuff IMO. They groom them with this thing we seen. It did not do a great job on the straights but the woods were smoother than they were last week... pretty cool. Rock hard snow too was not helping the cause.
We stop at the intersection
We seen 2 recent pictures online of a field in Candor with low snow.. so the group elected to head north and just avoid candor (Little did we know we would hit much worse stuff than the candor pictures later haha). We headed north on S25 and S25 sucks. It is 5 miles of railroad tracks with brush and bumps but it is a trail from A-B I guess.here
We went left on S27 towards Danby state forest. This was tight twisty trails with small bumps. I snapped up some pictures
We came to this! I think the homeowoner did it because roads are not plowed with straight plows. We removed a few lumps and went around it. Later on I come back over it right up the middle baby.
