Hey guys, a friend of mine has a 93 XLT with a transplanted 650 engine. Today we were getting it ready for the season.

After we got it running I noticed it was Idling @ about 750 rpms. But it sounded like it was running twice the rpm. And the clutch engages at about 2k. And I know that is way too low for this engine.

So Do the 650s use a 3 pulse tach or is his tach way out of wack. I know the XLT's or at least the 96's use the 6 pulse tach.
