I am buying a Blade Stiker (136'' 1.25 lugs). The question now is 600VES or 700VES. I talked to a guy
from Blade who has ride time on the Striker. He likes the 600 because of its lighter feel - it weighs 8 lbs
less. Weight is always key - but even more so in a Blade. I am going to be running a 96 stud pattern
down the middle of the track, which should add about 10 lbs. He said it will go 100 mph with the 600
(without studs), which is plenty fast for me. My main concern is acceleration between 0-80 mph. I don't
need to go 120 mph. My dealer said the 700 would come in to play if I go out west, which I will, but I don't
want to buy it just for that. I want to optimize for where I ride 99% of the time, which is here. I've also
considered gearing it down. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I'd say 600. You'll get better handling and gas milage. If you went with the 700 i'd think you'd also want more studs, meaning even more weight.

I would get the 700. Fuel usage is not that big between the two of them. You will get all the power you will EVER need out of the 700 and beat ANY other sled out on the market with that setup.

I decided on the 700. I seriously debated that 600. Someone else even suggested mods to the 600, but I don't want to mod to much because I am getting a 4 year warranty. I talked to one of the Karpics (blade company owners) who said the 700 is the way to go. Thanks for the advice!

I don't know. Usually customer orders go to the top of the list to be built. I need to sell my '98 yamaha Venture first so I have room in the garage. He told the factory that there was no hurry. Just as long as I have it before Dec. 1! My guess is, they'll probably build it next week anyway.

I want to ride every day, all day, as fast as I can.

Hey, how many sleds does blade build in a year?? I heard its not many. Any ballpark figures?

One of the dealers told me 200. I suspect they will build slightly more. They are selling at a steady pace. I wouldn't be surprised if it was more like 300.

Thats sounds like the numbers I heard, a little bit more maybe. Do you know how that compares to Redline? I hear those are awesome, custom sleds. I get the impression they are perhaps a little more specialized.

I heard the Redlines are supposed to be awesome. there rear skid is radical. The front end doesn't look as cool as the Blade. I have not read anything or talked to anyone who has ridden a Redline. They are supposed to be out this year, so if I go up against one, I'll let you know. One thing for sure - they look better than the Blade!

Hey Blade, do you race? Does the blade have a website? I've never heard of it until I saw you come on line.

The Blade is not a racing sled. The M-10 is more of a plush ride skid. I was thinking of trying racing if I got the MXZX 800, but not this. Supposedly, the Blade is about agile handling, plush ride, and a lightweight sled that is a blast to throw around. We'll see.

If i'm not mistaken, the M-10 is being used by Polaris on the classic line now too. Killer ass if you ask me
