hello im am new to polaris and am having problems with my 98 700 xc twin with burbing and farting at idle speed have it set well try to have it run 1500-1750 rpm. mid range and high are there and responsive. took of carbs and found fluff in the needle n seet area removed, carb cleened and compreesed air dried set float bowl level and went the wrong way on level raised it up and ran great had it raised in the air 2 feet on jack shut of sled went out and never turned off fuel valve flooded badly. removed carbs and lowered level now same as befor how high should the float bowl level be any spec and how to adjust with spec

plugs wet. are there diff jetting in carbs for the pto v mag side?

When you have the carb off and are looking at it up side down with the bowl off, the float should be level with the carb body(paralel too). Adjust the metal tab on the float that touches the needle n seat untill the float is level with the carb body.

The measurement you are looking for is 16mm+or- 2mm from the carb casting to highest point of float with carb on a 45 degree angle engine side down This is right from polaris's service manual Hope this helps
