Hi guy's
Been reading over the forums everything sounds great. Having a little problem with my 97/98 440 XCR. Sled idles good but when you hold the throttle down, it revs up to around 7000 rpm and stays there. Sounds like a bogg or a hesitation. Cleaned the valves spot less, even had a buddy manually hold them open to see if I could break 7000 RPM, but could'nt. Had the belt off the primary and ran the sled, no luck there either. Changed the stator and the CDI pack. No luck. Pulled the motor apart and indexed the crank, still no luck. Cylinders and pistons look good. Iam at my wits end. Anybody ever have a problem like this before. Any help would be greatly apperciated.

sounds like you started with the major, and not the simple

Is your sled running rich - jetting issue
do you have an altitude compensator- a line disconected?
Good fuel
new plugs
