I just finished my project for the wife. Started out as an 88 400 Classic. Not much left of the original sled except chassis.
Here's what I've done:
Installed: Fugi 500 and exhaust
X-10 skid
Fox front shocks
SLP plastic skis.
Professionally painted hood, former XCR600 hood.
Skid Plate.
.82 track with 96 studs.
All new drivetrain bearings, and replaced any worn out parts.

Most of the parts came from donor sleds that were parted out.
Not bragging at all but it looks pretty nice to me. I don't really care for the purple windshield but the wife likes it so I guess it stays. I would guess there are parts on this sled from about 5-6 different sleds. Kinda nice to have interchangeable parts.
Enjoy. Not much I can't handle on the old Wedge.

Pics are not as great as I like but the sled is in the garage.

Looks good. I love the old school wedges. Next step after the 500 is an ultra 680 triple piped.

I was looking for a clean look without too much flash and graphics. Might add some white pinstripe and a couple of small Polaris decals in white.
Need to get a Swirl rear Bogey wheel too. Fell off on the maiden voyage last year. Musta forgotten to tighten it!
