Hey all.
I've got the oportunity to pickup an '89 Formula Plus in real good condition from a dealer for $1000.
I wondered what you folks thought about the price, and the sled in general.

Thanks!

What condition is it in and hom many miles? I would base what it is worth more off of those factors than anything else really.

I had a 90 Formula MX, same basic design different engine. Good running sled, NOT the best handling sled. I sold the Doo kept the old 88 Eltigre with 3X the miles.

Enough said

My father has a 1990 Formula Plus, with a Long Track. It has the power but as they stated, it isnt the best handling sled and they are extremely heavy. otherwise they are reliable sleds.

Sounds like a great entry level trail sled. What's the motor in one of those?

"entry level trail sled" Thats what I want it for!
Not entirely about the engine, I've heard that in '89 it went up to a 581cc, about 100hp.
I'm more concerned with realiablity than anything else.
I haven't ridden in maybe 10 years, so if the handling is bad I probably won't notice.
Thats a pretty good price if it is in good shape. If its rough or need some engine work you may want to look around little more... I wouldn't really worry about the handleing if you haven't ridden in ten years. It'll probably feel like Vette compared to some of the stuff you rode 10 years ago.

I need spellcheck!
Anyone know of a link to pic of that sled? Just curious as to what they look like.
