Looks pretty good, especially being a first time thing. Is it a 95? I'm guessing this because the 95's had the orange on the side, so that colour would match nicely. I can see it's twin piped too, does that make a difference? Just wondering as I used to own a 94 600. Always thought of piping it but just moved up to more cc's instead

thanks srxsrule
I dont know now if its a 94 or a 95 ,,,i bought it as a 94 but it does have orange decals on the side.Thats why i decided to go with the orange to red fade ,to keep it similar.
UMM ,,i havent ridin it yet ,i just got it(2 months ago) and i am just cleanin her up and getin it ready. I also want to see what jets r in it and get a jetting guide from psi ,,the person i got it from bought it this way and threw away all the paper work
So if anyone can help me out with any sudjestions on it would be much appreciated
thanks

[attachment=49470] This is my 94 500ST. Looks like yours is a 94 600ST. If you have pipes you will have to jet up three sizes. I ran mine with a PSI pipe and it would go lean on the top end. Jetted up and problem solved. Great reliable machine.

You have to jet up with any aftermarket pipes. I would check what jets are in there first. The previous owner may have jetted up already if he put the pipes on. There should be a jetting-temp chart on the underside of the hood. Just go up three sizes from what the chart said. Ride it and check the plugs. Black is too big and white is too small. The plugs should be light brown or tan if the jetting is right. If its lean the sled will not rev on the top end and you could melt the pistons. If its rich you will use lots of fuel and it will be hard to start and foul the plugs.

Yea it is a 94 I guess. What is the ST model, what does ST stand for? I only knew of the dx and the Le which I had. Is it just a longer track?

I live only about an hour north of Toronto, Ontario. We've had maybe an inch or so but it only stayed a day. Sure isn't like the old days.

Nice hood.
I have a 94 v max 500. It used to have the orange and perpel on the sides. Now its all black. Where your orange is on your hood i have silver. I got some air the other day though. cracked it pretty good.
Looking for a new hood if anyone knows where i can get one
