Spindles from a newer XC...97 or 98 I believe is the correct years but don't quote me on that. They are an inch longer. It's not much but an inch is an inch and you can probably get them for under $50...so it's a relatively cheap inch.
Keep in mind this won't give you any more suspension travel, just an inch higher in ride height.
I have a 95 storm and my father is the shop forman at Alexis Fire Equipment (they build fire trucks) and we made our own. I think we settled on about an 1 3/4" over stock. we made them out of stainless steel. I looks really nice. We have twin storms and he has an xtra 10 in his and it sits just about perfectly level. Mine looks weird right now but i'm in the middle of longtracking it with an extra 10 and rail extensions.
