Hello everyone, just picked up a mint 1996 xlt with the extra 12. Just wondering if anyone can tell me what the best clutch set-up is for trail and lake running. I know its not a speed demon but I'd like to get the most out of it I can. Also what is the best gearing for it. I'm thinking of going with a ripsaw track. What is the biggest lug track you can run? Thanks alot for any help.

I have'nt seen any of those 2006 XLT's yet! lol- I know you meant 96. Anyway, contact Madcow- he's a member here. He has a good set-up for XLT's. I have his kit in my 97 sp and am very happy with it. One thing however, you mentioned a set-up for trail riding and lake running. A quick corner to corner trail set-up will be completely different than top-end lake running so you will have to decide what you want as far as how you like to ride.
