Hey, I was just looking threw some stuff and just noticed that the 98 ignition system is totally different then the 01... never noticed this before...

the 98 style has the spark plug wires going from the cdi itself, and in 01 they have a sperate CDI and the spark plug wires come from the coil?

is it possible to swap the 98 style setup to the 01? what would that involve??

I think that's when they added the detonation sensor and premium/regular switch?

In 01 polaris stopped using the ducati ignition and switched to the kokusan ignition system, they are not compatible with each other.
