New to Yamahas; I have a 98 SRX that appears to be running on one cylinder. It pours gas out of the exhaust, and goes 10 mph. Quite a change from when they were new! What could be wrong? It's been to the dealer a bunch of times and each time they say they fixed it...but the "fix" lasts only a day or so. Help!

ummmmm, check and make sure your plugs are gapped, make sure your plug caps are on securly. make sure your coil wires and CDI wires are plugged in good and tight.

to find out which 2 cylinders are the culprit, let it warm up about 30-45 seconds, then feel for the cold pipes (carefull not to burn yourself, when your hands are numb, they ALL feel cold for a second or 2, then some of them get real hot real fast)

hows the weather over there? If it's warm and humid, check the mixture. My old phazer used to do the same and I had to lean it out a little on those warm days.
