Late last season my son-in-laws sled started fouling plugs. Definitely gas not oil. Too rich. He's never fiddled with the carbs. Figured to replace the jets + needles and seats while I'm in there. The stock jets in the 38's are 360's. Is it best to stick with them or can you go a little smaller? OR is this even his problem? We always use the best fuel and correct plugs. It's only got 800 miles on it and we've both had Cats with much more and never had this problem.

Cat usually jets their sleds from the factory to run efficiently at -20 to -30F. The local dealer recommended I drop 2 jet sizes on my 800 for best overall performance. (without any engine mods)I'd talk to a dealer to see what they recommend for that particular sled in the conditions that you usually ride in.
Good luck.
Replacing the jets needles and seats along with adjusting the floats is a good start.
