with a sled like that u dont have a lot of options 4 hp upgrades, i dont know of any. a set of smaller jets would be my suggestion your dealershould be able to tell u what size u are running now, and i would go one size smaller. Also there are other things u could do, not to make hp but to free it up large rear idler wheeles some antiratchit cogs and runing your track loose is a good idea, andif u have metal skies upgrade to plastic or get some skins.last but not least every 7 lb u take off your slead has the same effect as adding one hp .
thaks for the info it does have metal skis no skins i want to get more power out of it its been a good sled for as long as iv had it 6300 miles nothing but plugs and 3 belts dont want to get rid of it for bigger sled
I have a 96 Cougar 550. I've down jetted one size and played with my clutches. It's much quicker than it was stock and I'm 30 pounds heavier then when the sled was new. I'm going to get rid of my air box for some K&N filters as well.
