put together a better tool set then the little stock one, for you experence with your machine, think of what tools you have used to do maintance on your machine that aren't in there and put them in, also have a another extra belt in the truck incase one breaks during the you can still have a spare for the next couple, also same with spark plugs. then beforey ou go check all the wheel carbides track adjustment clutck alignment, maybe clean the carbs, and check the pull cord, if it is frayed replace it. there is more maybe some other guys cana thing of somethings

Don't forget the HELMET! It sucks borrowing someone else's spare helmet which is always way to big or too small for your head. Also don't forget oil.

Dont' forget an extra set of plugs, keep them in your jacket so they'll be warm, just in case you have a really cold morning and have a hard time starting.

Thanx for all the info guys. I also found some info at the following link, for anyone else who is following this thread:

http://www.altasnowmobile.ab.ca/safety/planning.php

This is a link to the Alberta Snowmobile Assn. It's mostly geared for mountain travel, but there are good tips for any snowmobile trip. Enjoy.
