I'm wondering when I should start mine?

I was thinking as soon as they can ride a bike I'd get them matching 120's

I need spellcheck!

Both of my kids ride,
One 15 the other 9, We've got a pair of 440 panther 2ups they ride around on the lake and trails. And yes the 9 yr old does drive her own sled.

Sorry, I'm the only 'kid' in my family so far but I let myself ride when it's ok with me.

My 16 and 13 yr old sons have been riding for some time now and I`m starting my 6 yr old son this winter on a 340 polaris cutlass. He handles the quads okay so I think he`ll do fine. I live in the rolling wheat fields west of Spokane,Wa where there are no trees to dodge. Just keep them young ones decked out with all the safety gear and let em have fun.

Who ever dies with the most toys wins.
Where I live in Illinois they have some Bull Sh)t laws. I just found out that up until this season it was illegal for anyone under 12 to ride a sled of any type including 120s and Kitty Cats. (even on your own property!) This year they can ride the 'Toy Sleds' on private property. I found out from a club member at last night's meeting that he was tickeed last year for his kid riding his 120 on his land, the DNR officer was driving by, saw the kid, stopped the the kid and issued the father a ticket.
I have a 10 year old son and a daughter 7 that ride their Yammy 250 around on the couple acres I have, How long will it be before I'm ticketed and their fun is spoiled?......
At 12 years old they can take a safety course to obtain a permit to ride trails along side an adult. My son can't wait

Well in my honest opinion I believe it should be up to the parents to determine when their kids are 'old enough' to ride. Some may like them to be a little older than others and in all cases at least 14 before they go unsupervised.

As far as that cop issuing a ticket.... Blow me! Just try and collect. And I don't even have kids yet. As long as the parents are ultimately responsible, giddy up!

Ihave an 8 year old, hes been riding a skidoo citation 300 for 2 years. I figured he did so well on his dirtbike and fourwheeler why not let him sled. The group i ride with normally take the kids out of school two days and let them ride with us its alot of fun. its never to earlyto start.
I am 16 and started when I was prolly 8. I only rode around the yard until I was like 13. I started on big Polaris Automatic fourwheelers and then went to snowmobiles. My sled up until last year was a kawasaki 340. This year I get the XCR 600 triple so ;)

Same law in Mass.
My brother's boy is 5 and he rides a 120 around the farm. His attitude is F*CK them pay the fine if they catch you. It is like $15 or $20 big deal.
Personaly I think 8 is a better age, less apt to hurt themselves, Yet very impressionable to learn the correct way. (they do not know everything yet) by 10 they know it all and know nothing at all.
