on my 99 powder special when i hit the brakes, i kind of hear i whining sound, im pretty sure this is normal, almost 100% sure, but i was just wonderin what that sound was

Think Snow...hell...might as well think lots of snow!

That is totally normal, 2001 zr does the same thing, I have the drilled rotor and I think that is what we are hearing.

Bring on the white stuff!

That whining noise is the clutches backshifting. It's a kickass noise man!

my sleds all have done that, its totally normal, in fact, i find that sound quite appealing myself

My sleds don't make that noise. Is that bad? Ohhhh wait, that's cuz I just run into things that slow me down instead of using brakes. nevermind!

I never notice this noise on my storm, but on my new sled it is very noticable! Sounds cool!

got 92 jag deluxe and 96 zrt 600
jag don't do it, ZRT does
jag, manual brakes
zrt, hydro. brakes
i also like the noise. it kind of sounds like a jet engine. I thought it was broke the first time i heard it. very noticeable.

I agree with Zig, I believe it's caused by the drilled rotor.
