I have been chasing this condition for the last 10 weekend's or so. in the prosess I've modified quite a few things on my slead ( ZL 600 ) I found the problem this saturday. Dirty injectors! after icolating the fuel pump in loop. I ran a quart of BG injector flush thruogh. tward the end the plugs we're starting to foul. Man this slead ripps again out of the hole!
It worked so well on my 99 ZL, I flushed out my dad's 94 ext 580 holy schnitz
what a difference. I know the flushing equiptment is not easy to get your hands on but if you can and you have A EFI machine DO IT!!
Now I havent told my wife I've fixed the problem yet. if I did how can I justify the new D&D chip I ordered last week?

Explain how you isolated the in loop!

isolated loop--- pull the feed line and the return line connect them together with a short piece of fuel tube. fuel pump still running but pumping fuel right back to tank. this is quicker than digging out the pump connector and un plugging it
How does that clean the injecters if your bypassing them.?I'm confused! sorry.
