Hello I was wandering I was hearing somebody say that on my 1980 moto ski ultrasonic 440 l/c the driven clutch is junk why is that why are they junk? Can Anybody give me some info maybe I miss heard them or something, Thanks J.P[8D]

The older clutch designs were not as efficient in transferring power, and would not hold up as well over time. Newer clutches last lots longer and will give more power to the track.

are the clutches running cool to cold when you are sleddin especially in snow under load. if you can feel no heat, i'd say your doin just fine.heat in the clutches is telling you that the clutches are not running effecient enough.
edit: some of the 60 to 70's sleds used clutches with a better angle for more belt support than some recent models. so i wouldn't worry to much. good for you and happy sleddin'.
