Last June after graduating from college I moved from ND to IA for a job. I had the job offered signed the November before so I rode my 98 ZR 500 that year and sold it in February when there was good snow at home and I could get a premium thinking IA didn't have much riding. Well after spending over a year and a winter in IA, I was amazed at amount of snow they received and was having withdrawals. So I went shopping........

I was originally looking for a 600 CFI Switchback, 600 SDI Renegade, or a 600 EFI Crossfire but after talking to some people my search shifted to an M7 141" or Crossfire 700. I was at Haydays looking for all of the above sleds and struck out.

After a long search I found her....

2005 F7 EFI with 23xx miles.

Some initial decals that I have since removed.

I thought the sled needed something to pull together the orange skid plate and orange seat. So I took after it with some orange automotive pin striping.

Another prospective.

I still think it is missing something. I am going to look for an orange Arctic Cat Cathead decal to put on the center of the hood.

Also had some fun changing Diamond Drive fluid the other night.

Funnel used to fill Diamond Drive.

Let me know what you think of the sled and changes I made.

Welcome back to the club JJ! Sled looks nice and clean like you said. That thing should be a rocket compared to the 'ol ZR5. Stay out of trouble this winter. [thumb]

Looks good, glad to see you got back into the sport! ArticFX makes some cool graphic packages if you really wanted to change it up.

Thanks for the comments everyone. So far I love it.

What do you all think about adding an Orange Arctic Cat Cathead decal to center of hood?

I looked into ArcticFX but just don't want to spend the money and actually enjoyed laying the pinstripes out by hand.

I also forgot to mention I purchased a 2005 Karavan 2 place trailer with salt shield, ski guides, and track mats as well.

A couple rude and crude sketches for you...

Very nice! Hopefully my next sled is an f6. Once you ride it a bit I'll have to ask you how it rides compared to a zr chassis sled.

Thanks Quinlan! Now if I can only get you to cut that out on the color cam. [:p]

The AC part number decal I want is 4279-054 but since it is from '09 I am having problems finding it.

Also who does everyone use for sled insurance? I got a quote from Progressive who I insure my vehicle through and it was only $20 per year less than my car so I need to shop around a bit.

State Farm was the cheapest I came across. Progressive was ridiculous when I got a quote from them.

Pin striping looks really nice, tied it together great. The orange cat head looks cool too, i'd do it.
Sweet sled.

You can always get the beak custom painted. I had a guy on here paint this for me. He did a great job! It seems as if he can paint almost anything[thumb] The work he does holds up great. It's been about a year now and it still looks new.

I had the cathead on my beak 2 years ago. I did'nt like how it turned out so I took it off a few days later.

Will_5 wow that is a great looking beak. Its a little out of my budget right now though I am guessing.

I think I will just stay with the pin striping for now.

Sounds like a nice trailer. What are you pulling it with? Last I knew you just had the Honda...

I finally picked up a trailer also. 2003 SledBed 2 place tilt/drive off with salt shield/ramps and ski guides. Not quite what I wanted, but it'll work fine for what I need it for.

Quinlan, I am not actually pulling the trailer. Still driving the Honda. My buddy is pulling it with his 02 F250 with a 7.3. You can actually see his Apex in one of the pictures. A second vehicle namely a half-ton truck is in my near future though.
