We need some group advice.

-just replaced all gaskets on a 93 Wildcat and are now looking back on it and wondering if we should have applied some hi-temp silicone or some copper spray to the base gaskets. There were some slight scratches on the block surface which is why we are wondering if we need the sealer insurance. The engine is all together but out of the sled so it wouldn't be the hardest thing to take apart and fix.

What would you do?

as long as they were just scratches and not gouges you'll be fine, especially for the base gaskets since there is no coolant to worry about leaking.
