Does anybody know of a site that I can find information on basic knowledge for carbs. I am the first to admit that I know jack nothing about them, how to tune and maintain them, etc etc. I am thinking about buying a year or two old race sled to play around with, but I would like to know more about how to tune with a carb including how involved it is to change jets, etc etc. In short, please school me! Can't say I've seen a web site. But I'd recommend Alav Olsen's (sp?) carb tuning book. He also makes one for Clutching.

Ryan, I seem to remember Olav Aaen's carb tuning handbook is pretty good. It was advertized for years in the back of the sled mags. And I don't have it.

Here's some links for ya:

www.snowgoercanada.com/tech_carb.shtml

This one is for a Harley carb, but it gives some good tunning info that can be applied to sleds as well:

www.mikuni.com/fs-carburetor.html
