]. The water is just like deep powder but you can get away with less counter-steering. If you're just going to do straight-aways like in your video, a wider ski will help with flotation. I skipped with my Slydog powderhounds last spring and the deep keel actually worked like a rudder. I could turn smoothly while sitting and without leaning/counter-steering. I wish I had fresh-water to skip on. Im not going to do anymore salt-water skipping with my F7[Disappointed]. It's too rough on the suspension parts/joints.

You ZL WILL skip just fine. Just give it plenty of speed until you get comfortable with it. Make sure you silicone all the gaps on your front-end especially on your clutch side.
