I am blowing all my lights and i have changed the regulator 4 times. I get 19 volts at idle on my 2000 500 xc.

Any help would be much appriciated.

should i get continuity between the yellow lead of the regulator and ground. i have unpluged all light and hand warmers harnesses and still nothing

did you take the hood off of your sled. sounds crazy, and thereby disconnecting the 12 volt to the lights

didnt take the hood off. it started blowing bulbs when i started it up for the first time this season.

19V is WAYYYY too High......This is a shot in the dark but inspect the connectors possible replace also make sure you are getting a good solid ground A bad ground with the regulator will cause the regulator not to work at all and you will actually be using the full voltage from the stator
Same thing will happen if one of the wires are broken somewhere down the line
So I would have to say check the wiring get a schematic and a test meter and get er done

found out you cant use an aftermarket voltage regulator on a newer sled. Thanks for everyones help !!!

I had the same problem and it was the ground wire.
