has anyone removed the sliders completely and replaced them with bogey wheels. I am thinking of doing this so I can run around on sand without to much wear. anyone got any other suggestions?

Not too sure how you'd run removing the sliders completely.

If you can find an older sled, lots of them ran completely on bogey wheels anyway. My uncle restores old sleds, most of them all run bogey wheel suspensions.

Running on sand... I think this has been discussed before and it probably won't work all that well, but I did see you're from australia so you probably don't have much of a choice out there!

Good luck. My recommendation is if you have a sled, somehow clamp or bolt on as many wheels as possible to reduce wear points on your sliders. I don't think you can remove the sliders completely but you can minimize wear by figuring different ways of adding wheels to the suspension.
