DAMN IT Well I have consulted many places and the 116" track for my 340 is no longer made.. even after market! Sh*T that blowz. Well first of all if ANYONE knows someone with a track for sale that is 116" and in good shape i will BUYYYYYY it. second.. anyone know places besides dennis kirk, ebay, and als snowmobile to get tracks... and i cant get it from polaris they dont make it or have any. THIRD HEHEHEHEHE
i have many ideas... well i think if i cant get a track within a week im gonna modify this bad boy to 121.. Im gonna take off rear bumper and pop rivets holding end of tunnel on... and take off seat... next take off track and suspension
do the math people... this is gonna be ballz out. im gonna take off mounts and do my own math to figure out how much i must drop the track backwards to make a 121 inch fit...
after i get a used 121 inch track... I hope i can find one that has same sprocket nubs and same inside profile as old one.. get the track on there... maybe torch, tig, or mig weld new brackets for the suspension mounts for length.. i figure that the sled will have to sit higher.. because the front end of suspension will have to point up more bein farther back so track moves smoothly after that is all in i am going to make a gaurd from aluminum bar stock to hang off back of sled much like the mountain sleds... but only about 6 inch long and im going to remount the tail light. GIMME UR IDEAS BOYZ THIS IS GONNA HAPPEN! Im gonna try to find a engine... prolly a 440 to put in it to give it more ballz...i think i know a sled that was crashed that has a 440 in it... its a 96 i think
frame is gone...
maybe i can use suspension and track from that sled 2!
Duct tape much like the force... it has a light side, a dark side.... and it holds the world together!
