Friends got a 06 fusion and he has only put on 50 miles and it bottom out real easy even with torion springs at stiffest setting.

This is the same suspension on my 07 IQ which does not bottom out when he gets on it. Shock was revalved today at the dealers but he is still hitting bottom. Would the scissor stops or other adjustments help this or is the shock totally gone.

Thanks

Are the susp blocks that adjust the springs on the highest setting?

Yes they are at the stiffest setting, we also had the sled at the dealers and they found a cracked O ring and replaced it but it didnt change the stiffness of the shock at all.

sounds like something goofy with the shock.

Sounds like the the shock is pushing the seal out the top. I think that sled has the Fox postion sensitive, right? You say it is brand new only the 50 miles that he put on it? if not then the shock may have frozen at one time when it need to be rebuilt and bused the side out. anyway other than that I can't think of anything else it could be.
