I have a 93 XLT,Iwas checking the rings while looking thru the exhaust port, there is brown stains just below the rings on each piston, abut halfway down the side of the piston. Ihave starting with the PTO side 119,125 and 126 (Cold) compression. There seems to be some movement of the piston back and forth. The sled runs great, any thoughts?--Thanks

The stains are from sitting for extended periods without being fogged.

Piston movement is normal, within an allowable margin. You'll have to look at the manual to find out the limit and proper measuring method.

Compression is within spec.

I do fog the motor every year, however the sled may sit for several weeks between use.
