Is your 800 extra fast? Mine isn't. Want to know any "tricks" you might have heard or tried. Things like timing, air box modifications, clutch setups, after market heads, reed valves, TPS adjustments, etc.
I spent three seasons getting my 96 Ultra to really move (it's faster then the 800 ) but would prefer your help to save time. Thanks, Hotrod!
Wow, a reply a reply ! ive waited so long. Yeah, I'm kinda surprised no one has any input on this. Oh well, theres no darn snow left anyways. this year is just plain wierd. I think it will have a snowballing negative effect. (pun intended)
Thanks for the reply, no the XCR is too different. Flatslides, throttle position sensor, premium/regular switch to name a few. I've put it up for sale in the local isell paper. Its a beautiful sled but after riding my modified ultra for the last three seasons, the 800 just dosn't do "it" for me.Part of the problem is the sled came with so many good reports especially about the power, that I was expecting too much. Back in the eighties I had the 600's and went down to a Indy 400 for one season. Its the same feeling now.The fun factor is much lower than your used to . All you fellow speed freaks take note. Never deliberately go backwards in performance. You wont lke the feeling.
Probably take about two grand after I sell the 800 and resurect the Ultra. The XCR is a 2000 with 3000 miles, it is mint and it even has reverse. Most don't . That costs an extra grand up here. I put it in for $7400 Can. It should sell ,because that is below the market value.
Yeah those triples are killer without reverse, I learned the hard way on my storm with that. So how much is that american and where in canada are you located?

mod twin pipes,mod cylinder porting,vforce reeds,14.7:1 heads , 100% c-12 race fuel= 168.1 hp at 8100rpm
My wife said its me or my sleds... Im sure gonna miss her
Intendedacceleration. I just checked the latest exchange rates.$4,639.80. for you....$4600 U.S .What does that compare like if you bought the same thing there.
That sounds like a good deal if the sled is in as good shape as you say it is. But right now the market for sleds is pratically nothing, so you may have some problems selling it. Do you have any pics of it?
