I am in the middle of bringing a vintage sled (81 Scorpion Sidewinder) back to life. It sat for four or five years. It lost a cylinder and was then parked behind a garage and left for dead. I am redoing the top end and while I'm at it obviously completely going through the carbs, fuel pump, tank, and lines yada yada etc.

[?]Both carburetor en-richer plungers are siezed inside. What's the best trick for getting them free?

Thanks in-advance![:)]

Submerge the carbs in laquer(sp?) thinner for a few days. Should loosen up all the gunk in the carbs. Usually works for me. 5 years is a long time, do they smell like varnish?

PB-Blaster works well too.
Squirt it into the hole and let it sit 24 hours.
