SO, my sled been acting up lately, or more than usual anyway. The engine kinda bogs (or at least doesnt make the power it should be) until about 4000rpm when it all of a sudden goes into hyperspeed and jumps 3000rpm in a split second without me moving the throttle at all. and it goes back and forth like that if i try to keep that same throttle position. I'm guessing this is due to a rich mix before 4000, at which point the engine gets just the right mix and starts screaming. so i want to try tunning the carbs as a guess.
I know how pathetic it is I don't even know how to tune a carb, but my local shop cant do it for another 5 days so I figured I'd like to try on my own if its not too complicated. My setup is the '99 600 big block motor, twin carb obviously, with a booster.
Anyway, if someone could kinda guide me through all the steps and tell me what to look out for, it would be MUCH appreciated.
Thanks !

Sounds to me like they need to be cleaned rather than tuned.
