Alright, my friend has a '72 ski doo Olympic 335. We got it running but it is getting too much gas. What I want to know is, is the low speed screw the gas or is the high speed screw the gas?

Also, when you giver the nuts on the stand, exhaust comes out of the carb. Is this part of "the too much gas" thing or could the timing be off? How do you know when your timing is off?

And one more thing, if anyone out there has a used muffler for a '72 ski doo olympic 335, let me know!

Other then that, when its running, it purrs like a kitten!

I believe the low speed screw is for idling, and the high speed screw is for more throttle. It has different circuits like a mikuni carb, but not jetting like a mikuni carb. Does it backfire? It sounds like you need to turn the high speed needle in for less fuel. Go by maybe 1/8 increments, they are touchy.
