Hey everyone I am looking for some help and expert opinions on changing my crank bearings as I have never done internal engine repairs for this machine most shops I’ve called don’t wanna touch it cause it’s a 03 and are worried of breaking parts to get it out which makes sense but now I’m left to pull it myself and am nervous any tips and tricks would be much appreciated

If you had a bearing failure then you're going to need a lot more than new bearings and your best bet is to just find a usable bottom end and go form there as the cost of replacing the associated parts will likely exceed the cost of replacing the entire engine with a running used one. If you're just looking to perform preventative maintenance, then my advice would be if it isn't broke don't fix it. Just replace all the gaskets and seals, and turn the oil setting up a little.
