Is there an other way to check the clutch aligment without buying a gauge?

Any suggestions on how to align it and what am I looking for.

90 Indy 650 Stock.

i think a shop would lend yu an alighnment gauge...mine did....easy to check..if yu need to adjust it yull have to put shims behind yure secondary clutch...very easy...and cheap....if yu enjoy doing yure own maintenance get yureself a good manual like clymer...about 25 bucks and worth every penny.
