I tried it this morning(20miles) in 3-4 inches of snow and it engaged at 4100RPM and shifted at 7700RPM. I thought it would engage at 3600-3700RPM and would shift at 7500RPM.
I wonder if AC change something on late built EFI. Mine was built in Nov 2001.
Thanks in advance for any answers.

Those figures sound about right. You should find out the exact peak power RPM range for your motor (I think 7700 sounds about right) My 2001 zr600EFI with my Goodwin performance clutch kit engages at around 4900 and shifts out at 8100 which is where my motor makes peak power. Good clutching will keep your motor revving right at its peak power RPM

Bring on the white stuff!

Cat may have changed the clutching in 02. My 01 ZL800 engages at about 3600 and tops out at about 7400 Rs.

When we get some snow I will be able to tell you what mine engages at, but until then I can only speculate.
