I just picked up a clutch from a 2001 Polaris 800LE twin. I know the owner and he put electric start on at 240 miles. They sent him a whole new clutch assy. Question: will this clutch fit my 1997 Polaris XLT 600? I know it is shimmed for a wider belt, but I can change those. I am wondering about the fit on the crank.[?]

Thanks

You are probably going to have to machine the back side of the clutch off to get clearance and then it will work. The clutches for twins have a deeper shoulder than the clutches for triples.

Thanks guys, I work in a manufacturing plant with a good bunch of guys in the toolroom, so the machining will be a snap. I'll just measure the difference and turn it off.

Thanks again!
