A friend is goin on a trip to about 8000 ft. and asked the dealer about re-jetting sizes, the guy there said he would also need to do clutch work and maybe sprockets and what not for around $300. I dont know a lot about clutches but it doesnt seem like it would be necesary, maybe if you wanted maximum performance. What do you think?

sorry i forgot what sled he was taking, but we're in Minnesota and hes going to Colorado.

thats a little pricey, he could leave all the clutching stock and go with lighter wieghts, or a less helix angle. yes he should drop the gearing maybe down one on top and up one on bottom. look in the mags for tri city polaris, they should be able to give him spicifics. even the dealer should be able to give him a print out sheet that gives jetting and clutching and gearing setups for each altitude according to what the manufacture thinks..
